Hamas atteck

Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, launched a surprise attack on Israel on Saturday morning. The attack began with a rocket attack that lasted for nearly half an hour. Thousands of rockets were launched from inside Gaza, some making it as far as Tel Aviv. Hamas militants then invaded Israel in at least seven locations. The attack killed at least 250 people. The Israeli military says at least 26 soldiers were killed. Hamas claimed it was taking revenge for a series of recent actions by Israel at Jerusalem's Al Asqa mosque and in the West Bank. Israel declared war in response. Israeli soldiers are battling Hamas fighters in the streets of southern Israel and launching airstrikes on Gaza. The Israeli army says over 400 Hamas militants were killed. Another Iran-backed group, Hezbollah, attacked military targets in northern Israel from its positions in southern Lebanon early Sunday.
